CIJ offers a curriculum that prepares the students to go to work in business establishments such as Offices, and for those who are interested in further education, readiness for university placement. Grades provide meaningful feedback on student achievement. Grades should fairly represent a student's performance on a variety of measures over time. Summative assessments, including final exams, are a reflection of a student's mastery of year level and should therefore carry significant weight in the final grade. Students should have an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of year level indicators or course objectives through a variety of methods. Each subject carries its own mark allocations such as attendance and participation, classwork and homework, etc. and written exams. To get the final grade for each subject at the end of the year, 80% of the total percentage or scores in the second term, and 20% of the total percentage or scores from first term result, are added up. First year and Second year promotion to the next level requires 60% from the total Marks. There is no repeater in the third year. |
